The “On…” series is a collection of short blog posts relating to data visualization, economics, presentation skills, or data communication. In each, I discuss an issue, concept, or idea that I have not fully developed, a work in progress, or just some thoughts about a topic or issue I’d like to share.
I watch with envy every day or week when Nathan Yau and David Napoli publish their awesome newsletters. I don’t quite have the time (or inclination) to publish a regular newsletter, but I’ve decided it’s time to up my newsletter game, so I’m (re)starting a regular newsletter series. In it, you’ll find links to existing PolicyViz content, discounts in the shop, and–hopefully–additional content you won’t find on the site. UPDATE 9/20/2020: I have a more concrete idea of what I’m going to do with a new newsletter! First, on frequency, newsletters will be sent out every other Monday, the day before I post a new podcast. I’ll tell you who will be on the week that show before anyone else. Second, I’m going to write more about my behind-the-scenes work–how the new book is coming along, tips and tricks about the podcast, and other blog post ideas I’ve got on my list.
