This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you contact me, add a comment, purchase a product, or otherwise use my services through this site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Printful, WooCommerce, or any third party services you access through those parties. I don’t ask for your personal information unless I need it, and I don’t share or store your information except to comply with the law or to protect my legitimate interests.
Information I Collect
When you leave a comment on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you purchase a product through the Shop, you must provide certain information such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and details of your order. All physical items are fulfilled by Printful and payment is processed through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe or Printful, and may include credit card information, address, purchase total, and billing information. I also use MailChimp for my newsletter — if you sign up, some of your information may be passed to MailChimp. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, the site also sets cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out, login cookies will be removed.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited those websites directly. Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide my services. However, I may also be required to retain information to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce my agreements. Comments on the blog and podcast are retained indefinitely.

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances, I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to my processing of your information based on my legitimate interests, or to receiving marketing messages after providing consent. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or if retention is required by law.
