Cambria Brown is a Performance Management and Data Specialist with the Office of Planning, Partnerships and Improvement at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She specializes in performance management, data visualization and data dashboard development for divisions and programs across the department. She also helps lead the statewide public health improvement planning process, which occurs on a five-year cycle. Cambria works on a variety of internal and external data sets to help colleagues and the Department’s audience better understand the state. We talk about her data visualization projects, what it takes to get people to buy into the importance of data visualization, and what it means to be a dataviz guru in a state government agency.
