Welcome back to the PolicyViz Podcast! I’m back! After a few weeks off this summer to enjoy the nice weather and time with the family, I’m excited to be back with a whole new slate of guests. Over the next few weeks, you’re going to hear from people who do terrific work in creating data visualizations, giving presentations, and organizing data-communication teams. I also start this week’s show by reflecting on the past few weeks in the U.S., which included terrorist attacks, protests and counter-protests, and natural disasters.

I’m also very excited to have my friend Robert Kosara on this week’s episode. Robert is a research scientist at Tableau software and the author of the long-running data visualization blog, EagerEyes. We talk about Robert’s research on storytelling, which, if you follow podcast and blog, you know is a keen interest of mine.

If you’d like to help support the show–and I really hope you will!–you can now purchase a PolicyViz Podcast tshirt! Lovely, navy blue shirts with the podcast logo available in all sizes, can be ordered from the Shop. You can also rate and review the show on iTunes or your favorite podcast provider.
