Episode #125: Laura Lindenfeld and Valeri Lantz-Gefroh

The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, hosted in the School of Journalism at Stony Brook University, empowers scientists and health professionals to communicate complex topics in clear, vivid, and engaging ways; leading to improved understanding by the public, media, patients, elected officials, and others outside of their own discipline. I’m very excited, therefore, to be joined by Laura Lindenfeld, the Director of the Alda Center, and Valeri Lantz-Gefroh, the Improvisation Program Director at the Alda Center.

In this week’s episode, we talk about the Center’s work, how to use empathy when communicating research, and how the Center works with scientists and groups to help them improve how they communicate.
