Emma Bannister is the founder and CEO of Presentation Studio, a presentation-design firm based in in Sydney, Australia. Emma has designed presentations for banks, technology firms, and others to help them communicate better. Emma and her staff of 20 are all passionate about presentations and believe storytelling can transform the way people and companies communicate.

In this week’s episode, Emma and I chat about her design work and what it takes to give a great presentation and design great slides. We also talk about the differences in presenting to audiences in Asia versus other parts of the world, a theme that emerged in my recent interview with Jane Pong from the Financial Times.

Just in case you missed it, I’m co-hosting three data visualization workshops in the coming months, one with Tableau expert Brittany Fong and two with Dear Data collaborator Stefanie Posavec. Check out the Public Workshops page for more information!
