On last week’s episode, I sat outside Facebook and chatted with Andy Kirk about our experience at the Social Science Foo Camp, a two-and-a-half day conference at Facebook that brought together all sorts of social scientists. One of the first sessions I attended was about Data Ethics, co-hosted by Laura Noren from the Institute for Public Knowledge at NYU and Hetan Shah, the Executive Director of the Royal Statistical Society. After my recent interview with Jenn Schiffer, I was curious about what and how they thought about what data ethics means and how we can all be more ethical with it.
