The General Services Administration, working with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has started notifying agencies and landlords that federal agencies will be terminating hundreds of leases for offices and buildings in the coming months. The DOGE website currently lists more than 650 lease terminations, which they estimate will save $400 million. Those savings range from $0 for about 15% of those terminations to more than $10 million for four office locations (0.6% of offices).

DOGE provides information on each agency, city location, office square footage, estimated savings, and the reason for closure. The map below displays all office closures, centered on the listed cities, with bubble sizes representing square footage. Hover over any bubble to view additional details. I will update the map regularly as new information becomes available on the DOGE website.
