Earlier this week, I spoke to the Data Visualization NY Meetup group about the recent work I’ve been doing with my Urban Institute colleague Alice Feng. As you may have seen, Alice and I co-authored a blog and paper (posted to OSF) about how to take a racially equitable approach to communicating and visualizing data.
I’ve been speaking more and more about this topic and these issues, and was excited to have the opportunity to speak with the Meetup group. The Q&A that followed the presentation was especially interesting for me and has given me even more to think about.
